Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
• (Sous Chef) Create dishes for specials and potential new menu items.
• (Sous Chef) Adapt menu items for changing ingredient supplies, pricing or other concerns.

Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
• Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred

We are seeking a skilled and experienced catering chef to join our team on a part-time basis and work beside our Head Chef at The Barn at Power's. We host weddings, retirement parties, showers and many other events with buffet  offerings.  The individual must be able to work weekends.  The right person will be responsible for prepping, cooking, serving guests on the buffet line and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, work well with team members and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food to specified recipes and standards

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils and maintaining inventory levels

• Communicate effectively with other team members, including the kitchen staff and management

• Follow all safety, sanitation and health regulations

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 - 3  years of experience in working in a catering kitchen environment (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail
• Works well with all team members
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills
• Must work weekends

Current vacancy for kitchen hands. You must be able to work Friday OR Saturday evening. Please indicate your availability with your application.

Kitchen hands wash dishes, stock inventories, clean floors and surfaces, shovel snow from walks, collect refuse and assist cooks with other tasks as needed. Kitchen hands can move on to become cooks-in-training then to line cook. Power's starts our kitchen hands at $17.00/hr.

This position could be a part-time or full-time position depending on the candidate.

Power’s Irish Pub, Inc. is a family-owned Irish Pub and Restaurant in a building with over 230 years of history. We are currently seeking an experienced server to join our team. We open at noon and the kitchen closes at 9PM, Tuesday through Sunday. Typical lunch shifts are 11:30 AM to 4 PM and dinner shifts are 4 PM to closing around 10PM.

 We are looking for servers for day and night shifts and weekends.

Duties include:

• Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor

• Learning food and drink menu items, including daily specials

• Engaging customers to explain menu items, specials and drinks

• Carrying trays of food and drinks up and down stairs

• Bus tables and perform side work to keep restaurant clean and presentable

• Maintain a personal “bank” for cash transactions and manage cash throughout shift

• Exceptional organization and time management

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Great active listening skills

• Ability and willingness to collaborate

• Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures

• Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends

• Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted

PLEASE INCLUDE THE AVAILABILITY FORM WITH YOUR APPLICATION. Applicants must be 18 years of age to comply with state law regarding service of alcohol. Tips are a major portion of compensation, servers are expected to share tips with bartenders and food runners who assist them. Power's applies a five dollar an hour tip credit to ensure servers earn at least $15/hr average weekly but does not charge administrative fees on credit card tips.

This is a full-time position.

The individual must be able to work weekends.

The starting salary is $20/hour plus, depending on experience.
